“Faith is Prayer”
Text: Mark 9:14-29
South Portland Church of the Nazarene’s Executive Pastor Tim George begins a four week sermon series on what faith is.  In this first installment it is revealed through the story of Jesus healing the boy in Mark 9 that faith is prayer.  While the boy’s father believes Jesus can heal his son, he asks for help to overcome his unbelief.  God is bigger than whatever happens to us, so our faith isn’t conditioned by those things.  Jesus is the one who works with us where we are – even when we feel distant from Him – and is the one we can go to in prayer.
