Today we study the story of Lazarus, which, according to Pastor Tim, is one of the richest stories of the Gospels. It is also one of the most relatable, as most of us have come to God with concerns regarding health or illness for either ourselves or a loved one. The healing and resurrection of Lazarus shows us that the Lord has power and victory over illness, even power over illness that leads to death. The story also foreshadows God’s victory over death through Jesus, a victory that we celebrate in a few weeks in the Easter season.
