Text: John 5:1-18
In the final week before the Lenten season, Pastor Tim brings us a message from John, chapter 5, where Jesus heals a long-suffering man by the pools of Bethesda on the Sabbath. When questioned by the Jewish leaders why the healing was performed, Jesus said, “My Father is always at his work to this day, and I too am working.” This story shows us that Jesus dwells among those who suffer because God is not at rest, and we know He will never leave us nor forsake us.
