“Learning to Love”
Text: Genesis 4:1-16
This week, Pastor Tim goes through the story of Cain and Abel. Although Cain is cursed and driven away from the land after killing Abel, the Lord still gives him an interesting and maybe even unexpected word of hope. God’s mercy is evident when Cain is marked so that he is not killed. Similarly, God does not forsake us by leaving us wandering forgotten and alone in an unknown land. Instead, He gives us the mark of the blood of Jesus Christ on the cross. This blood calls out from the grave so loudly that it defeats even death itself. We are only asked to be faithful by being willing to love our brothers, sisters, neighbors, and those who God places before us.
