“Returning to the Lord”

What do we do during those times when there is no one around, we are isolated, and it feels like there is nothing that we can do? The people of God who wrote the psalms for us knew and understood isolation. Psalm 116 is thought to have been written in response to an illness. In it, the author calls us to “return to our rest,” which is the presence of God. God wants and desires to be in our presence and see us through tough times.
