“Stories that Shape Us: A People of Hope”
Text: Genesis 13

This week we begin a new sermon series focusing on the Old Testament, “Stories that Shape Us.” These stories just didn’t shape the scripture of the New Testament – they also shape who we are although we live in a far different culture and time. Today, we study Genesis 13, and God’s promise to give Abram (later, Abraham) all the land he can see and make his offspring numerous. It is a story of God’s provisions and shows that from the start, God’s desire is to be with His people.
