“Swords into Plowshares”
Text: Isaiah 2:1-5
This week marks the beginning of Advent and the start of a new Church year.  We are also pleased to welcome Pastor Brent Neely in his first week with us as our pastor.  During this Advent season Pastor Brent will be looking into what the Kingdom of God looks like, and what that means for us as participants in it.  In this first week we observe how Kingdom politics differ from traditional politics – how the first shall be last, and the last shall be first.  Similarly, in Kingdom living there is no need for weapons – the swords used to destroy will become plowshares for cultivation.
