The Church as Covenant Community

The first in a four-part series leading up to the Centennial of the Church of the Nazarene, this sermon also fell on our Homecoming Weekend at the Cape Elizabeth Church of the Nazarene. We consider what it means to be part of the Covenant Community of Faith, the people called out by God to accomplish a specific purpose. What did this mean for Israel? What did it mean for the Early Church? What did it mean for Nazarenes 100 years ago? And what does it mean for our local church today?
