“You Are Where You Eat”
Sermon Text: Matthew 9:9-13
When Jesus ate with tax collectors and sinners at Matthew’s house, He extended mercy to them where everyone else extended judgment. As we are called to embody Jesus is in our lives, this passage reminds us that the defining characteristic of who God is is found in the unconditional and continuous mercy that is shared in the lives among those we come in contact with.
