Text: 2 Samuel 12:1-14
One of the things that makes Scripture relatable is that it is honest about life, even confessing the mistakes of some of its central figures. In this passage, David’s sin done in private is exposed by God through the prophet Nathan. While the consequences of David’s actions still remain, God offers forgiveness. In our lives, God offers forgives at each step and in every place, wherever it is we might find we have made mistakes or excuses. It is in Jesus Christ that the promise of God is ever-present and never absent. Even if we are still facing the repercussions of our past, know that our God has said that He still loves us and always desires that his people return to a relationship with Him.
