Text: Luke 3:7-18
This Advent season we will be focusing on prophecy, preparation, joy, and proclaiming the good news of Christ’s birth.  This week, we examine John the Baptist’s words to the crowd, where God will “gather the wheat into his barn, but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”  At first these words sound daunting, however we can find joy in that God’s work continues through us today, helping us remove the things in our lives that separate us from Him so that we can live fruitful lives for Him.
