Today we welcome back Pastor Kim Richardson as our guest preacher. We continue our series on prayer – we have a tendency to think of prayer as asking God for something. A better understanding of prayer is having a conversation with God; we both talk and listen, looking to discern what we should do, and what we should ask for. Prayer is not a substitute for action – prayer is the first action step. Pastor Kim also encourages us to practice “extraordinary prayer” – to spend more time in prayer or to add an aspect of prayer that we are not currently participating in.
