“Stories That Shape Us: Until the End!”
Text: Revelation 22
We end our “Stories That Shape Us” series by looking at the last chapter of the Bible, Revelation 22. Over time, Revelation has gained a reputation as being a “scary” book or one that is supposed to provoke fear, however its original purpose was to provide hope to the early Christians who were being persecuted in the Roman Empire. Much of the book’s imagery of beasts and curses were directly translatable to the problems going on in Rome of the day. The book shows that God is there with His people in the midst of these struggles and ultimately the beasts are defeated. So too is He with us and He invites us to share an eternity with Him.
