“Kingdom Status”
Text: Luke 14:1-11, Matthew 5:3-11
The society we find ourselves in thrives on status.  People considered to be of “high” status are all over the news whether or not they deserve attention; people considered to be of “low” status are ignored.  Christ, however, calls us to treat each other as equals, and to live out lives of humble holiness.  There is no status in God’s Kingdom, for we are all part of one flock under the Good Shepherd.
